Our Drywall Work Process

Before any work begins, we offer a free, no-obligation walk-through of your space. During this visit, we take time to understand your goals, assess every detail, and provide a clear, accurate estimate. It’s all part of our commitment to delivering drywall services aligning with your vision and budget.

2. Work With Your Project Manager

At M. Carlson Painting, you’ll be assigned a dedicated Project Manager who serves as your single point of contact from start to finish. This ensures your drywall project stays on track, on time, and stress-free.

3. Repair and/or Hanging of Drywall

Areas in need of repair are carefully cut out, replaced, and finished to blend seamlessly with the surrounding surface. From new installations, we begin with the ceiling and work outward to the room’s perimeter. We use proper hanging techniques to minimize future cracking and shifting. All screw holes are recessed below the surface, allowing for a smooth, even finish every time.

4. Seamless Finish for a Flawless Look

We tape, mud, and sand all seams and openings to create. a smooth, paint ready surface. Tape is applied while the mud is wet to prevent future cracking. Corner beads are added where needed for clean, defined edges. Each coat is carefully sanded for a flawless finish before primer and paint.

What Our Customers Are Saying

"Jesus was professional and did an awesome job. He cleaned everything up when he left and was so quiet I forgot he was here! I am very pleased with the work."

"Working with M Carlson Painting has been incredible. The communication was exceptional despite me not being in town for the project. The work done was highly professional, with meticulous attention to detail. I highly recommend Vinnie and M Carlson!!!"

"Kyle came out and gave us a very reasonable quote for the work we needed done. His team arrived on time both days and did impeccable work! They were polite, friendly, efficient and very professional. I highly recommend M. Carlson painting to anyone looking for an excellent company to take care of your painting needs! Thanks guys!!"

"We had our living room painted, which had a 20 ft. vaulted ceiling and needed a lot of drywall repair. We also had some track lighting taken down and replaced with recessed lights, so we needed the ceiling repaired. Vinnie did a great job of walking us through the process and the 2-man painting crew did an amazing job - finishing in less than 2 days!!! We love the results. The room looks brand new!!! (It’s 35 years old!)"

"My team was Alex and Jacob. They did a really solid job. Cabinet work looks like a factory finish."

"Saul was super professional, kind, considerate and a very clean painter!! He painted our fireplace and it looks great. Fair prices!! I will use him again!!"

"The experience we had with M. Carlson painting was amazing. Vinnie spent time with us in in the beginning walking us through the hole patching process for our bedrooms we recently had re-insulated. Kelly did a great job communicating with us via email. When the work began Ramiro and his crew arrived and did an amazing job patching walls, checking the finish was even across all walls, and painting the bedrooms and bathrooms. From beginning to end they made the process easy for us to stay in our home while they worked at a reasonable price. We can't say enough great things about the M. Carlson team!"

"Our experience involved feeling a commitment and dedication to get the job done right. We are appreciative of their customer service."

"Adam and his team were amazing to work with. We had a few different projects that centered on wallpaper removal and some repair, and we were given an accurate timeline, and we had full confidence in their understanding of the scope of the project. There were some minor mold concerns that were unearthed, but they were small enough that the team was able to abate and continue the project. We are very satisfied for the scope of work and pricing for it. Most other contractors we spoke to had said to rip everything down and start over (not in our current budget), but Adam gave us options and talked about the most important places we wanted to tackle and offered to revisit some secondary places in the future. We would absolutely go with M. Carlson again for any future wall work!"
